There is a balance and harmony in nature that is innate. The movement of day and night, the seasons, the ecosystem and the interdependence of all things, all contribute to keeping our internal systems and cycles in a state of balance and wellbeing.
When we co-operate with nature – externally and internally – we will remain healthy. It is only when we go against our own nature that illness arises. Our illness may be physical – aches & pains, asthma, high blood pressure, ulcers, sciatica etc, or non-physical – fatigue, anxiety, depression, insomnia and so on. In natural healing we deal with both the symptom of the illness, and also its cause. When we can identify and correct the cause of a disease, the symptom will usually clear up by itself. This is the power of natural healing. We are using the forces of nature inside ourselves to restore and maintain our health and wellbeing.
Natural healing is holistic. In determining the cause of an illness, we consider the whole person – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Just as there are natural laws that control the functioning of our physical bodies, the same is true on the mental, emotional and spiritual levels. Many of our physical symptoms have non-physical causes. So in order to restore ourselves to health, we may need to adjust some aspects of our thinking or our emotional life.
About Natural Healing, cont....
This is where working with an experienced natural health practitioner can be extremely helpful. We will often have some blind spots in our thinking that someone else needs to point out, before the required adjustment can be made. A session with a natural health practitioner is a discussion, an exploration, and a process of self-discovery, as well as a treatment.
The rewards for those willing to undertake this process are a return to your natural state of balance and harmony, a greater sense of wellbeing, and a drug-free relief of symptoms.
