Frank Vilaasa is a counsellor, healer and meditation teacher. He studied Acupuncture at the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa, and trained in Bioenergetic Psychotherapy at the Centre for Bioenergy in London. He learnt Gestalt Therapy at Quaesitor in London before returning to Australia to complete a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Humanistic Psychology at the University of South Australia
For the past twenty years, he has practiced healing, psychotherapy and relationship counselling in the UK, Australia and various parts of SE Asia, successfully counselling people on relationship issues. In addition to conducting his own private practice, he has led workshops, given lectures and conducted courses on relationship and personal development subjects.
He has received teachings on awakening the heart as a spiritual practice from teachers in India, Bhutan, SE Asia, USA and Australia. He received the Kalachakra Initiation into the practice of Highest Yoga Tantra from The Dalai Lama. His approach to spirituality is taken from Tibetan Buddhism, Vipassana, Tantra, and the teachings of Osho.
He is currently based in Pai, northern Thailand, where he practices as spiritual counsellor and meditation teacher. He has published many articles on wellbeing and spiritual development in a variety of magazines and journals, and is the author of 'Understanding Holistic Health', published in 2000.
